In 2024, Global Emergency Care (GEC) marked a historic milestone with the launch of Uganda’s first accredited Emergency Medical Care Curriculum—developed in close partnership with the Ministry of Health and Malteser International. Now integrated into three national health training institutions, this groundbreaking program equips nurses, midwives, theatre technicians, and emergency care assistants with standardized, life-saving skills to manage emergencies with confidence and precision.
By investing in the training of emergency medical professionals, GEC is not only strengthening Uganda’s healthcare education system but laying the foundation for a sustainable, nationwide emergency care workforce. This achievement represents a generational shift—one that will ripple across communities for decades to come.
